Background

A CanSat is a simulation of a real satellite, integrated within the volume and shape of a soft drink can, typically weighing around 325g. CanSat provides excellent first-step training opportunities for students interested in satellite development, operation and project management. All basic functions of a satellite, such as those of power and communications, are fitted into a soda can of 325 ml or a little more. It could perform various experiments such as attitude control, image capture and downlink as well as GPS measurement. The time required for students to experience the entire project about six (6) months for mission conceptualization, design, fabrication, ground test, modification, launch and operation, much shorter than most of space-related projects, and the life-cycle cost for the project is also limited.

About the competition


The mission of this competition is best mission design. The full competition criterias and guidelines will be released during the introductory workshop.
